4 Ups & 2 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jan 3)

2. Ten Man Tag Impresses

The opener to this week's Impact was a tremendous ten man tag team match between the team of Rich Swann, Willie Mack, and The Rascalz and the team of Ethan Page, Matt Sydal, and oVe. As you'd expect from these ten men, they stole the show right from the offset with some incredible high-paced action.

It comes as no surprise to see these guys stealing the show. The X Division right now is mainly built around these names, hence why four of them are the participants in the Ultimate X Match on Sunday. This was the right showcase for said match at Homecoming, as well as the recently added bout between Sami Callihan and Willie Mack.

Swann's team came out on top here, which was the correct victory to set up the post-match angle with oVe putting Mack through a table. Callihan and the Crist brothers have more or less gotten the best of their adversaries over the last few weeks and although they were the last ones standing here, it was a refreshing image to see someone else on top for a change.

All in all, a truly phenomenal way to kick off Impact's year in the best way possible.
