4 Ups & 2 Downs From Ultima Lucha Dos - Night 2

1. Sinestra De La Muerta’s Rough Run

Disciples Of Death Dive Chair

Earlier in season two of Lucha Underground, Mil Muertes was tired of the failings of The Disciples of Death. They were basically the Putty Patrol to his Goldar...which makes Catrina...Rita Repulsa? Anyway, since they kept letting him down he asked them to politely leave his locker room, which he did by murdering two of them. That left Sinestra De La Muerta as the last one alive. Maybe Mil should have ended him too.

Sinestra De La Muerta was re-packaged as a singles wrestler a couple months ago, and didn’t instill much fear in his opponents. At Ultima Lucha, he was quickly pinned within the opening minutes in the Gift of the Gods match. This makes him one of the few wrestlers on the roster who wasn't given any sort of payoff or storyline progression by season's end.

He isn't the most interesting character, but they could have put someone else in this role if his job was to lose so quickly.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
