4 Ups & 2 Downs From Ultima Lucha Dos - Night 2

Ups...

4. Night Claw’s Debut

Night Claw

Before season three of Lucha Underground starts, they may want to find Night Claw a new mask. It’s supposed to look scary, but is actually a bit silly. It’s kind of like Battle Kat’s mask, which probably wasn’t what they were going for.

LU often has wrestlers debut, only to see them lose. This was no exception with Night Claw, but he at least got to pin a couple of guys before being eliminated. Next year should see him more involved in stoylines, which should be great to see, as the man who plays the role (Flamita in AAA), is a great high-flying wrestler who is only 21.

A win in his debut probably would have got him more over to start, but he still looked fairly strong in defeat. Besides, him losing lead to a cool moment that we’ll get to in a bit.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
