4 Ups & 3 Downs For WWE Crown Jewel 2025 (Results & Review)

Downs…

3. Propaganda

Whenever giving a “down” for a video, it bears mentioning that WWE is excellent at producing these video packages that make you feel something. If anything, they should use them more in certain circumstances.

The video package to open Crown Jewel, titled “Can you hear it?” and narrated by Rhea Ripley, served to welcome everyone to Australia and set the scene that these WWE international crowds have been loud, and that noise “need(s) no translation.” They called out shows in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Canada, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia, among others.

But the video also served to highlight the façade that WWE has been putting up around its product in 2025. While these international crowds have oftentimes been very loud, the product itself has been cold, stale, and unimaginative. WWE has lost its fastball, but they can dress things up by airing footage of fans who rarely get a live show losing their minds.

It’s actually really clever and well done, but it also hides the reality, which might make it even more jarring when the veneer wears off. Call this a very minor negative: It’s very understandable why they did this – any company in the same situation would and should – but it doesn’t make it any less of a mask.
