Golden Globes, butts in cement and buckets of blood!

This week's episode of AEW Rampage had all of those things. Who says the Friday night weekly is boring?! It's certainly off to a better start in 2023 than it fared for most of 2022, and Tony Khan tried to serve up a 'something for everyone' buffet with the latest hour of All Elite TV.

You won't believe just how much blood Ruby Riott spilled during a hit-and-miss 'Street Fight' main event. There, she teamed with Willow Nightingale vs. JAS pair Tay Melo and Anna Jay. Was it smooth sailing from start to finish? Well, not quite, but nobody can deny the effort these women put in.

If hardcore isn't your jam, then at least there was a more traditional opener for the TNT Title to enjoy. Then, sandwiched between those bouts, there was a tag-team match that's already catching hate online for "being overbooked". This article rushes to defend AEW's scheming here.

What else? Oh, Rampage had two separate segments that had WWE references this week. That's the real overkill here, not anything involving House Of Black or the Eddie Kingston/Ortiz duo. TK should probs show some restraint when it comes to dissing the competition.

Here's all the good and bad.
