4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Jan 13)

Downs...

3. Some Seriously Sloppy Moments

Pitchforks away, please. There's room for Rampage's main event in the 'Ups' section as well, but it'd be remiss of any critic not to point out how sloppy some key moments in the 'Street Fight' were. Willow Nightingale missed her mark when powerbombing Anna Jay off the stage "through a table", for example.

This fan isn't a huge...fan of Ruby Riott kicking out of a piledriver from the ring apron through some wood either, especially because she was totally with it post-match and managed to shake it off. What's the point in performing such a dangerous stunt if there's no lasting effects?

Hmm.

Personally, this writer has no issues with the volume of blood on Ruby; nobody's really talking about the severity of that gusher if it's Jon Moxley, although it did look like Riott might've bladed a little too deep. Overall, this brawl just needed some editing to iron out a few wrinkles.
