4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Jan 13)

The Acclaimed
AEW

"The Acclaimed have arrived".

They certainly have. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens are one of the most over tag-teams in all of pro wrestling these days, and it's great to see them doing so well. Want to know something infuriating though? Caster repeatedly reaches for lazy WWE digs when he's so over he doesn't actually need to.

This week, the rapper encouraged everyone to "listen" when he said nobody in AEW would be "selling out for blood money". That, of course, was a nod to recent rumours of a Saudi Arabian buyout over on the WWE side. Can we just quit with this cross-promotional chatter sh*t. It's boring now.

Being frank, this might've been less egregious had Caster discussed the chances of Tony Khan buying his competition. That'd be forgivable (maybe), because it puts over All Elite without relying on the Saudi conversation. AEW should just stop talking about WWE full stop though.
