4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Jan 13)
Ups...
4. Looking On The Bright Side
Was Billy Gunn pushing his own sons ass-first into cement silly? Yes. Will it rile up those who hate double standards when this kind of thing is called out on WWE's product but not when AEW does it? Sure. Is it going to be given a pass in this 'Ups & Downs' article? You bet.
Rampage doesn't get feud setup like this often, especially not for major title rivalries. So, let's overlook the clear silliness of Austin and Colten Gunn leaving butt prints on the Hollywood star cement. Hollywood starfish? Never mind. Man, that was a bad joke. Sometimes, a writer has to call himself out.
All (awful) jokes aside, this does pave the way for an AEW Tag Title match between both squads soon. Fingers crossed Tony Khan sticks that on Rampage too, because the show could use a featured bout like it to keep momentum rolling along.
No idea what JR was talking about when he said, "That's gotta be chilling" mind.
