4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (March 1 - Results & Review)

2. Nobody Pays Attention (Again)

Claudio Castagnoli Rugido
AEW

What's the deal here?

Rugido went in for a handshake after losing to Claudio Castagnoli, then the Blackpool Combat Club man blasted him with an inverted atomic drop-style low blow for the hell of it. This had similar vibes to Matt Sydal being all friendly with the CMLL lot a while back. Is anybody actually paying attention?

If AEW's locker room is supposed to be annoyed that the CMLL lot are "invading", then they shouldn't be back-patting and handshaking like Sydal. Similarly, enough has happened between both sides to mean Rugido falling for Claudio's dirty tricks only serves to make him look like an actual idiot.

Yours truly would love to ask Tony Khan what's he's hoping to accomplish with all of this. Both sides are coming across as morons sporadically, and making it obvious none of them watch other matches in the series. That...isn't a great look.
