4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (March 1 - Results & Review)

1. Rankings, Anyone?

A big cheer went up in some quarters when news spread that AEW was bringing back the cherished title rankings. That meant every match (in theory) would serve some sort of purpose, and it also ensured title matches would be earned rather than randomly handed out depending on the day.

Yeah, so much for that.

Tony booked an "All-Star Scramble" for Revolution. The winner of that bags a guaranteed World Title match. Worse, they've put Magnus from CMLL in there after just one solitary All Elite Wrestling match. Yep, Friday was his very first AEW showing and he's already in the World Title picture just like that.

Some of the other names linked with the scramble are questionable too. Brian Cage is there, and either Penta, Bryan Keith or Dante Martin will earn their way in via a three-way on Collision. None of those dudes win a lot of matches, so it's puzzling.

What happened to the rankings?!
