4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (March 1 - Results & Review)

2. This Was Slick

Riho Trish Adora
AEW

If yours truly is being honest about it, he has a tendency to go 'old man yells at cloud' about some aspects of AEW programming. The women's division has been a real pet peeve over the years, but Toni Storm has soothed fears there. Remarkably then, regular victim of a right good moan Riho snagged one of the top 'Ups' this week.

What a fun, fun match she had with Trish Adora.

Riho's underdog act got the live crowd onboard early, and Adora was visibly loving the chance to be a menacing/bullying heel. Honestly, it would've been the best idea to cut that aforementioned trios squash completely and give these women slightly more time to work with. They'd have deserved that.

Their bout was well-worked and energetic from the first bell to last. You really can't ask for much more from an exhibition match than to be entertained and start seeing some subtle character development emerging. Trish has a bright future in this sort of role, and Riho loves being a sympathetic face.

Really good stuff here.
