4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (March 1 - Results & Review)

1. The First Win This Story Has Had

What was that about hell freezing over?

There was nothing wrong with the segment involving Ruby Soho, Angelo Parker, Saraya, Harley Cameron and new wrecking ball Zak Knight. It was short and to the point. Knight ambushed Angelo from behind before his date with Ruby, then Saraya made Soho watch them kicking sh*t out of her man.

Drama has been sorely lacking in the story up until now. In fact, certain narrative beats conspired to make figures like Ruby and Angelo look like morons, and that made it impossible to have sympathy for their high-school romance. Maybe this is going to be a turning point for the entire saga?

A carefully-built mixed tag like Saraya and Zak vs. Ruby and Parker could work as a headliner on Rampage. Or, keep things building through until Double Or Nothing and let them loose. That's certainly quite the pleasant change from cries to cancel the storyline outright!
