4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (May 27)

1. The New TNT Title

The "new" TNT Title is just the...old TNT Title with some purple and gold flourishes. In other words, Dan Lambert's big reveal on Friday night was a bit of a letdown. It certainly didn't do much to make up for last week's dreadful segment that saw Sammy Guevara and Frankie Kazarian smash up the old belt.

AEW went from mediocre to worrying shortly after the reveal.

A six-person tag (Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page and Paige VanZant vs. Sammy, Kazarian and Tay Conti) was made, and the added stipulation says neither Guevara or Frankie can challenge for the TNT strap again if they lose. How unnecessary and forced is that?

The only good thing to come out of all this is VanZant's looming in-ring debut on pay-per-view. Paige is a star in the making, but she's sadly being buried beneath this awful rivalry that has caused everyone involved to become totally unlikeable.
