4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (May 5)
2. So Far Beyond Old
AEW is already back to square one with Jade Cargill following the neat distraction of a fun mini-feud vs. Taya Valkyrie. That's not strictly over, because the announcers did say that Taya using her finish on Cargill could spell the end of Jade's TBS Title reign. There's more to come from those two women, basically.
That's fine, but this waste of air time wasn't.
Look, everyone understands that Tony Khan wants Cargill to have a killer win-loss record, but does that haul really matter when most of your victories are against those who rarely appear on TV? Goldberg in 1997-1998, this ain't. This guy is a big fan of Jade's, but people are rightly bored of this stuff by now.
Christ, even Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and JR have nothing new to say about it. Cargill is 57-0, and she's hammered a load of wrestlers you've probs never heard of before to have that flashing on the tron. Great? Can we hurry this up already?!
