4 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (April 25)

1. Orton & Rowan Run Out Of Steam

The divisive Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt feud is finally about to end, and Sunday can't come quick enough. Their lengthy rivalry has been a chore to watch at times, particularly over the past month or so, and while last night's contributions weren't as egregious as usual, Orton's No DQ match with Erick Rowan offered little excitement.

Things looked promising in the early stages, and it seemed like the two wrestlers were well on their way to a fun TV brawl. Unfortunately, the match just kept on going, and going, and going. It completely ran out of steam about halfway through, the crowd lost interest, and Orton limped over the finish line after twelve minutes, scoring a predictable victory in a match that was entirely too long, and should have been trimmed when 'The Viper' put Rowan through a table.

Payback's House of Horrors match should be the end of Orton vs. Wyatt, before Randy focuses his attention firmly on Jinder Mahal. While the Orton/Wyatt relationship took a few interesting turns during their brief alignment, the feud segments have been atrocious, hokey, and embarrassing for all involved. It's hard to tell where Rowan goes with his master now stuck on Raw, but splitting Randy and Bray was one of the smartest things WWE did in the Superstar Shake-Up, as it means this horrendous storyline can't be revisited any time soon.
