4 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Chronicle: Samoa Joe

3. Interesting Look At The Superstar Shakeup

Hearing Samoa Joe admit that he didn't want to go to SmackDown is quite refreshing. To him, there was unfinished business on Raw that he wanted to take care of, and he was worried that WWE might forget all about some of the matches he wanted to have on Mondays because they needed numbers for the Superstar Shakeup.

A nice 'before and after' splice of interview footage with him backstage catches Joe looking a tad p*ssed off after Road Dogg tells him he's SmackDown bound just 24 hours later.

Then, the cameras cut to Joe on the phone to his wife from the stands. A similarly playful relationship to the one Joe shares with his mother comes to the fore here, and he tells his bride that she'd finally get her Friday nights back with him due to SmackDown's different schedule.

These scenes only take up around five minutes of time in Chronicle, and yet they're some of the best it has to offer. Road Dogg's later pep talk about being proud of Joe and looking forward to seeing what he and AJ Styles can do at SummerSlam caps it all off.
