Phew! The world can shelve worries about Drew McIntyre missing SummerSlam. WWE ran a clip of Logan Paul and Drew confronting Jelly Roll during a training session. Randy Orton wasn’t present, so McIntyre hit Jelly with a Claymore Kick to end the segment with a bang. Yours truly has no clue when this was filmed, but it was a good sign that Drew wasn't going to be watching SummerSlam remotely like 99% of us.

That was a legit worry due to him being stranded in the UK after attending a friend’s wedding.

Later, McIntyre appeared on SmackDown in person. Panic over. That’s a huge positive, because it could’ve thrown everything out had he been missing and a sub stepped in. The Miz put himself forward for that spot. No offence intended to the all-rounder, because he'd be capable and was right to point towards his own history with Orton and Paul, but Drew was needed.

He'd have been involved in allaying any fears from Jelly Roll about what might happen inside MetLife Stadium. Remove even one aspect of the match planned and Mr. Roll could've flapped. Triple H will be keen to make sure his next big celeb-infused showpiece clicks, especially now it seems Travis Scott has been shoved off to the side due to his own disinterest.

The final segment on this week's SmackDown saw Jelly and Randy get the slight edge on McIntyre and Paul before security rushed out to break things up. A few RKOs and a chokeslam (one better than Talla Tonga's!) from Roll finished things off. Now, onto the match we go.
