3. The Wyatt Sicks Stuff Just Isn’t Working

Unique ideas are welcome when fans have witnessed borderline everything there is to see in pro wrestling by 2025. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis put an individual member from each affected team on one side of the ring for a clash with The Wyatt Sicks, and it felt refreshing on paper. Sadly, once the bell sounded and the bout kicked off, things got dull in a hurry.

Aldis also told everyone else that The Wyatts are here to stay, which isn't fab news for this guy personally. Sure, the match did a decent enough job of putting across how much chemistry The Sicks have in comparison to a cobbled-together group, but it does seem like the tag ranks on SmackDown were killing it before Uncle Howdy and pals turned up.

Maybe some other fans feel differently, which is cool, but it gets a ‘Down’ here.

Something is off about this whole story. The faction don't come across as a big enough threat to merit everybody banding together suddenly, and it'd probably suck for WWE's writers to find out that the sub-plot involving DIY being the real dirtbags of the piece is far more compelling than anything Howdy and gang are up to.

Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis going after those tag belts held by The Street Profits could've worked, but the story being told lacks a lot of punch. It says everything when another tag match on the same show was story-free but still had more going for it. Be worried if The Wyatts end up on top of this division. They've...strangled it a little.
