2. Stilted Dialogue Burns Trish’s Comeback

It's hard to tell if this segment suffered because it took place as part of a marathon Raw and SmackDown taping. Perhaps fans were totally burned out by the time they saw Trish Stratus return as a genuine surprise. Before that, Tiffany Stratton spoke about wrestling Jade Cargill at SummerSlam, then welcomed out Trish to reveal she'd pitched facing the legend at Evolution after teaming with her back at Elimination Chamber.

Cool, but there was some seriously forced back and forth dialogue between Trish and Tiffany which really didn’t help here. Is anyone else struggling to be convinced by Stratton as a babyface? She has some 'Charlotte Flair as a face' hallmarks about her that could prove problematic. There should be no issues with Tiffany vs. Trish happening at Evolution, but yeah - this segment was flat and the interactions between all involved were forced.

Jade had to stand there like her Queen Of The Ring win and SummerSlam title shot was playing second fiddle to Evolution too. WWE clearly wanted to present Stratton as somebody gracious who's ready for challenges like Trish, but that didn't come across. Instead, she came out looking bratty for roaring back against Trish saying she'd love to win a title in front of her kids and mumbled something about the 'Attitude Era'.

So, lovely babyface Tiffany Stratton picked good pal Stratus because she thinks she'll be an easy win at Evolution? That doesn't make much sense. Meanwhile, poor Jade was third wheeling hard here when she should be a real focal point and somebody Tiffany takes seriously as a threat.

All over the place. Speaking of which...
