4 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 8 - Results & Review)

CM Punk's original comeback promo on Raw was heavily bashed for being light on actual content and maybe a little too fluffy/condescending at the same time. SmackDown was more like it then. There, Punk discussed which brand he'll sign for (even teasing NXT), then turned his attention to the target on his back.

Cody Rhodes, The Usos, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens and more were mentioned.

Seth Rollins was too, although not by name. Instead, Punk brutally assessed Seth's status as second in command behind Becky Lynch at home. He even referenced the "Brawl Out" AEW stuff; that was tarted up as a bash at KO, but those who know know. Score one for the All Elite references on WWE TV!

Granted, this speech probably should've been on Raw given the main crux was about a coming red brand feud, but at least Punk looked like he was back to his best here. If nothing else, there was some actual meat on the bone for fans to chew. That wasn't the case on the flagship.
