4 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Feb 17)

Downs...

3. Get Your Sh*t In. GO!

First though, some bad.

WWE relies too heavily on this kind of segment. You know the ones - everybody involved in an upcoming multi-person pay-per-view view match has to get their sh*t in as commentary stakes a claim for them winning. It's too formulaic, and it badly hurt Asuka vs. Liv Morgan this week.

Both women proper struggled to get going before everyone else interrupted the flow and gave them no chance. Carmella being out there on guest comms, and all the other Chamber match moving parts rushing out to steal spotlight, meant fans were constantly distracted throughout.

Special mention must go to how hard Liv has tanked since her SmackDown Women's Title reign last year too. It's almost like that run never happened, 'cause she's actually feeling like less of an ongoing concern than she was before WWE started that experiment.
