4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Battle Of The Belts V

Downs...

The Firm Stokely Hathaway Lee Moriarty Big Bill
AEW

Stokely Hathaway mean-mugged for the cameras, then said that "everyone and their mothers" thinks The Firm isn't a threat to anyone in AEW. Erm...that was just a little bit too accurate to work here. Any audience apathy might be because the group started as a vehicle for MJF then quickly became one of the most listless factions in wrestling.

Just saying.

This promo didn't fit on Battle Of The Belts, and it should have been omitted from the format sheets. It's also so hard to get excited for anything these guys are doing in January 2023, including Wednesday's match vs. "JungleHook" (Jungle Boy and Hook).

Big Bill stands around looking like Big Show did as part of The Union, and Lee Moriarty gets nothing to say whilst Stokely pretends he's a hard man. Where are they even going with any of this, and why should fans care? Hathaway is too good a manager for this frankly garbage faction.
