4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Battle Of The Belts V

2. Another Quality All-Atlantic Defence

Kip Sabian Orange Cassidy
AEW

Orange Cassidy has been having some seriously slick matches since becoming All-Atlantic Champion in October 2022, and this was another one. Kip Sabian challenging him had some decent build if you've been checking out Rampage, and they got a decent chunk of time to work with in the BOTB main event slot.

That's never to be sniffed at.

Despite any grumblings people may have with the whole Battle Of The Belts concept and where it's going (this writer is one of those peeps), there can be no arguments against this match. Kip came through, there were enough bells and whistles to keep things interesting, and Orange picked up a clean win to send fans home happy.

There was a parallel to draw between this and the TNT Title match from Rampage. Both belts are held by AEW pet project babyfaces who are over with crowds, and both are on champs who can work with just about anybody.

Fingers crossed Sabian doesn't go back to putting cardboard boxes on his head after thriving here.
