4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Battle Of The Belts V

1. That Portland Crowd

AEW can visit Portland anytime. Any. Freakin'. Time.

The Oregon crowd came alive for absolutely everything put in front of them, and they didn't let up for the entirety of Rampage or Battle Of The Belts. Folks in the stands were so on form that the commentators had to mention their booming chants and sustained noise throughout.

BCC were over, Top Flight were over, Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter were over, Darby Allin was over, The Acclaimed were over, Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal were over, Jade Cargill was over, Orange Cassidy was...you get the (well-laboured) point. Portland loved everybody.

Preston Vance, The Renegade Twins, Skye Blue, Kip Sabian and even bloody Sonico all got treated like mega-stars by a fired up live audience who had clearly waited for the chance to see some All Elite action. There was a peak 'Attitude Era' feel to this crowd, and that's meant as a compliment.
