4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (July 1)

3. Rivals Team Up

Thunder Rosa Toni Storm
AEW

Hmm.

That's all this fan could say to himself when Toni Storm and Thunder Rosa were all smiles at the end of this week's show. He's not sure if it's a good idea to have both women playing buddies when they're just been competing for the AEW Women's Championship. WWE booking actually came to mind here.

This whole, 'duelling babyfaces find common ground against a heel menace' thing has McMahon fingerprints all over it, and not in a good way. Most wrestling fans would sling sh*t at WWE for this kind of thing, so it's only fair that All Elite takes the same flak.

Company writing has outright failed to make Rosa click as an honourable babyface champion, and now she's splitting the spotlight with another who hopes to replace her. Why would Thunder even trust Toni when the recent arrival has made it clear she wants the belt too?
