2. The Bellas See A Big Improvement

Nikki and Brie Bella vs. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss was more energetic than last week’s bout between The Bellas and The Irresistible Forces. There was a much better pace and zip to the match, and the twins got a much-needed, momentum-boosting win during their comeback as a team. That'll go a long way to shaking more ring rust off Brie too.

We’re clearly heading to a multi-team affair at 'Mania for those belts held by Nia Jax and Lash Legend, and that’s fine. So long as the matches en route are on par with this, then everything will be fine. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria needed to muscle in on the story so they had something to chew on over the April weekender too, and they'll only increase the quality on offer come bell time.

Admittedly, there was a slight wonky moment with Alexa visibly just chatting to Nikki during a submission, but it wasn’t a deal breaker or anything. WWE's camera crew shouldn't take the brunt of the blame for that sort of thing though - they can only shoot around what's happening, and it's really on Bliss to sell rather than have a conversation whilst in a rest hold. She should know better than that.

All in all, this was a step up from what happened last week, and that should be viewed as a good thing. The Bellas needed to show more than they did vs. Jax and Legend. The good news is that they did exactly that on Friday vs. Charlotte and Alexa. Onto the next!
