Honestly, this mini-feud has no business being as entertaining as it is. That “slam poetry” segment last week was a riot, and the actual match here between Kit Wilson and Jelly Roll was bags of fun. Real credit must go to Jelly for never looking lost out there. He isn’t the most athletic or coordinated, obviously, but this was never less than watchable throughout.

These guys have really made the best of things whenever they’re on screen together, so fingers crossed that pays off for Kit in particular. He's been a real unsung hero on SmackDown's midcard since he started yelling about everything being toxic, and the fans were into what they were seeing too. Don't worry about the end result either - Kit can take losses like this because he’s strong enough on the mic to bounce back.

Some more poems should do the trick. Just ask Lanny Poffo.

It certainly isn't Jelly's fault that WWE's booking went awry later in the night. All he could do was enter a solid performance and be there for everything Wilson wanted to do during their match. If this was a test for Kit, then he passed it with flying colours. It'd be lovely if Hunter and the creative team had something more waiting for him after WrestleMania. Few deserve it more than he does.

The crowd in Pittsburgh made more noise for Roll vs. Kit than they did for Giulia vs. Tiffy, and that really speaks volumes about what's important in this company. People want stories involving likeable/charming and unlikeable/dastardly characters. This scratched an itch and was a big ol' positive for this week's show.
