That revenge superkick on Jimmy from Jey looked sweet, and the build towards it was so well done. WWE fans in Canada showered Jey with chants as the show went off the air too, which only made the whole skit feel like a bigger deal. Never underestimate the importance of crowd participation.

Jey is good in the rebel spot, and it'll be interesting to see where his character goes next. That's all anybody can really ask from weekly TV storytelling, to be honest. Can WWE spin out this narrative until getting to brother vs. brother at WrestleMania next year? That remains to be seen, but the segment worked out way better than yours truly thought it would.

He was dreading it a wee bit going in.

Some time at home wouldn't do Jey any harm. He's been a featured face for so long now on SmackDown that some breathing room might be a good plan. That sure seems to be what WWE is going for here, 'cause Uso said he's out of commission going forwards.
