4 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dark (July 7)

3. Bickering Sisters

A reductive, outdated segment saw Brandi Rhodes and Allie - The Nightmare Sisters - interviewed by endearing bumbler Alex Marvez, who oversaw a snippy argument when the duo both tried to take credit for their recent victories. They were shouting over the top of each other when Dustin Rhodes walked into the scene, told Allie to be an ally after explaining that he knew what she was trying to do to QT Marshall, then warned her against messing with his family.

This placated Brandi and Allie, who said keeping their team going "wasn't a terrible idea."

While this column is generally kind to the Allie/QT Marshall storyline, this wasn't good. The optics of a man being the only person capable of calming those crazy women! down are extremely poor in 2020, which shouldn't need further explanation. Let's hope a big step forward isn't too far away.
