4 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 2)

Speaking of engaging stories, albeit ones that have been spurned.

Dax Harwood's tale is genuinely touching and very personal to him, so maybe let him finish his damn point if you're even going to bother including it in the promo at all. Instead, AEW had Jay Lethal's crew interrupt the FTR man's heartfelt speech with some Four Horsemen b*llocks.

What else would you call Alex Shelley's, "Remember this hand signal" thing? If that wasn't a nod to Ric Flair's iconic stable, then it was one aimed at Fortune back in the TNA days. Either way, it failed to land with the AEW audience. They all just sat on their hands wondering why this six man is even happening on Sunday.

Therein lies the problem. Even Dax had to mention that fans and industry critics alike questioned the bout's inclusion on All Out's card, and that's...not good. Everyone could've done without Sonjay Dutt calling Harwood's kid a "brat" too, especially when he's not the focal point.
