3. Women’s Tag Makes The Best Of It

Asuka and Kairi Sane vs. Lash Legend and Nia Jax could’ve easily been a snore, but it was actually pretty fun. The heel vs. heel dynamic hanging over everything meant someone had to be babyface by default, and the fact it was Kabuki Warriors is a positive. They don't hear many cheers these days, and Sane is a natural underdog babyface anyway. That's actually when she does her best work.

Here are the biggest positives: Lash got to look strong again, Nia’s more glaring (recent) weaknesses are mitigated in a tag-team setting, and the second half of the bout had a decent zip to it that kept the live crowd interested. That wasn't a given considering how much content people were asked to sit through during this epic taping session. Yep, yours truly had a good time with this one, and he wouldn’t be against Legend and Nia winning the Women’s Tag Titles sometime soon.

There’s a multi-team situation coming our way though, clearly. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss ran in post-match to scuffle with Nia and Lash, then held the belts aloft as people cheered. That's good news for the pair - they're still a popular act, and crowds have finally accepted Charlotte as a babyface. It was about time WWE got that right!

The WarGames thing was pointless, and the fact Joe and Wade had to bring it up on comms exposed that, but this was a tidy, well-worked bout that would've been the best one on the show had another tag effort not happened.
