1. Final Segment Drags Bad

Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, John Cena and Logan Paul didn’t actually have a lot of material to work with or much to say, but their segment right at the end of the show still went long anyway. OK, got to be brutally honest and speak freely. The fan writing this piece is not into WWE's bumper tag-team bout at Money In The Bank at all. It's coming across as a house show main event more than something worthy of PLE.

Why is Cody content to go after Cena in a tag-team match? Shouldn't he be right up for avenging his WrestleMania 41 loss and winning the title back from a retiring ex-hero who turned his back on everybody? Further, this leg of John Cena’s retirement tour is sagging in the middle badly. Maybe running with Cena vs. R-Truth then this exhibition tag back to back isn't the best idea.

The biggest issue here is that there...isn’t much at stake come MITB, and that’s a problem. Jey has already beaten Logan Paul, Cody seems happy to forget about the title he should be obsessed with, Cena is blatantly only teaming with Logan because the celeb turned wrestler campaigned for it backstage, and nothing is up for grabs on the next supershow.

In fact, the only real gem in this entire skit was Rhodes and his, “Polish his Peacemaker” line aimed at Paul for sucking up to Cena. That was clever, but it was too little too late for a segment that chewed up time for the sake of it. Are people honestly happy to pay inflated ticket prices just to see entrances these days?! No judging, but it's a valid question.
