3. More Emotion Between Fractured Friends

Naomi Bianca Belair

Man, there’s just something magical in the air when Bianca Belair and Naomi get face to face like this. They've mastered the art of making exchanges feel realistic whilst still maintaining a little sports entertainment style pizzazz, and there’s a money program coming between them once Bianca’s injured fingers heal up. Not sure the same can be said for more of Naomi warring with Jade Cargill, but there’s plenty of frost to explore between Jade and Belair too.

Naomi and Belair worked a really slick opening segment which fed into the first match on the show. It's sweet to have Bianca back on Fridays. She was missed around here. Sure, Naomi claiming to have broken into Belair’s parent’s house and looking through a photo album that happened to be on the coffee table is obviously unbelievable and terribly convenient, but it does push the story forwards at least.

Everything has come together for WWE with these two former Women's Tag-Team Champs. Belair is a main event level piece of talent, Naomi is thriving as a heel, Jade Cargill got some shine by avenging what happened to her during WrestleMania season, and now Naomi vs. 'EST' is dangling beautifully in front of everyone's faces.

SummerSlam showdown in waiting? Yes please.

Other members of the WWE roster could learn a lot from studying how these women interact with each other. They've done a bang up job of pushing the idea that there's still some love between them despite everything that's happened. Then, Naomi goes and ruins that by making uncalled for remarks about Bianca's mother. It's good character work.
