Je’von Evans and Rey Fenix vs. Los Garza was tons of fun.

Evans showed out with the kind of bouncy work he’s become known for on NXT, Fenix was his usual self doing stellar work aerially, and Garza are just such a well-oiled tag-team. As a bonus, and as aforementioned during the intro, Ethan Page sitting in on guest commentary was sensational. Honestly, the NXT North American Champ came across really well every single time he opened his mouth, and he actually has announcer potential once he retire if he so wishes - he’s got a good voice for it.

Ultimately, this match means nothing to the core SmackDown product, but it was a fun watch and gave the announcers an an excuse to plug Worlds Collide for next weekend regardless. Yep, there's a wee bit of AEW Forbidden Door about this, which isn’t for everybody, but the match was solid and it’s something different for the blue brand.

Plus, Page looked like a star, and people watching will likely want to see more of Je’Von to boot. Triple H and Shawn Michaels (who naturally has a keen eye on the NXT side of things) will be chuffed with how things panned out here. Here's hoping Hunter is ready to give Angel and Berto their flowers in 2025 too. They richly deserve some good moments for all the hard work they've put in alongside Santos Escobar.

If this was a test for Je'Von to see how he'd bed in on the main roster, then he passed it with flying colours. Sometimes literally in the flying department.
