4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (6 June - Results & Review)

2. Some Tag-Team Fun

Yes, it’s a bit odd and acts as an elephant in the room scenario that WWE literally have both Lucha Bros under contract but chose to team Penta with Andrade instead. Money In The Bank involvement or not for ‘El Idolo’, that will make some palm their foreheads, because it comes across as a baffling missed opportunity. The Bros have yet to really link up on WWE television, and some don't like that.

Still, Penta and Andrade's match vs. American Made was the best bout on the entire show by a mile. This guy really likes The Creed Brothers and thinks they’ve got real potential to be more. They're a throwback duo who can also zip around the ring bumping like madmen for WWE's greatest flyers. That fit in well with what Penta (in particular) wanted to do during the match on SmackDown.

SmackDown's tag-team ranks have been the glue holding blue brand TV together for much of 2025, so it was lovely to add a few fresh combos to that mix. At this point, WWE could do worse than unifying both sets of tag belts across Raw and SmackDown, therefore moving to amalgamate the division into a tight-knit group of hungry units who want just one set of belts.

Matches like The Creeds vs. Motor City Machine Guns would be incredible, and that's only one example. Penta and Andrade, if they're going to continue teaming, would make magic with The Street Profits, DIY and others. This was living proof that sometimes all a show needs is a pacy tag bout that doesn't overstay its welcome.

Bags of fun from beginning to end.
