Meanwhile, Pat McAfee could be the man to bring something more out in Baron Corbin. They're friendly behind the scenes, have known one another since the NFL days, and they'll be motivated to make this rivalry work. The pair's post-match verbal spat has SummerSlam written all over it.

McAfee has been great regardless of who he's working with. The NXT stuff with Adam Cole was awesome, and he even made the best of a potentially-disastrous feud vs. Theory and Vince McMahon during 'Mania season; that was bad, but bad in a fun, entertaining way.

Who knows if this was a one-time deal or not though? It might've just been WWE's way of letting fans chant, "Bum-Ass Corbin" at Happy. Nah, surely not. Surely they're set to collide on pay-per-view next month. It makes perfect sense, and it's a fine midcard feud for the show.
