4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 2)

Ups...

4. A Fun Six-Man

Sheamus Brawling Brutes Austin Theory Pretty Deadly

Austin Theory and Pretty Deadly seem to have some decent chemistry together as a trio. The same could be said for Sheamus and his Brawling Brutes, to be fair, which is presumably why they've lasted so long around here as a unit. The best news of all is that both groups gelled during this SmackDown opener.

It was a fun ride, and probs the show's best match.

The Brutes and The Cutes (that absolutely will not be Theory and Pretty Deadly's name, don't worry) had a well-worked six-man that opened the show with something that felt important. It still appears that Sheamus is getting a crack at Austin's United States Title despite losing to him too.

That's fine, because the smash mouth veteran will be a fine counterpoint to Theory's occasional cowardice. They'd be a neat combo on the undercard at Money In The Bank, and the UK masses would embrace their Irish chum like he's one of their own.

Good vibes here.
