4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 3)

3. Drew’s Clash At The Castle Challenge

Finally, Drew McIntyre has a goal to work towards again.

The big Scot was nicknamed, "Big D" (New Day loves them a d*ck joke) by Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on SmackDown. This wasn't a Diesel homage, but instead another sexual reference from dudes who just can't help themselves when it comes to that sort of thing - Kofi and Xavier, not McIntyre.

In amongst all that "hilarity", Drew fired out a challenge to one Roman Reigns for the 3 September Clash At The Castle stadium show in Cardiff, Wales. Of course, WWE letting McIntyre map out his intentions so far in advance kinda makes it clear that nobody has a hope in hell of beating Reigns this summer, but most knew that anyway.

Riddle and/or Randy Orton won't be crowned Undisputed WWE Universal Champ between now-Clash. No, it's Drew's destiny to take that title away from Reigns and end his dominance of the SmackDown scene (a dominance which is negatively felt when Roman isn't around).

Giving Drew some direction is a good thing.
