4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 10 - Results & Review)
Ups...
4. A Neat Little Showcase
Right, enough negativity! Onto the good stuff.
SmackDown featured another good little showcase bout for Dragon Lee. WWE will have to get moving on some actual character for the man soon, because fans aren't exactly going to care about him long-term without it, but booking him to beat on Cedric Alexander is perfectly fine for now.
It's absolutely a better use of Dragon than sticking him in humdrum tags alongside forgotten man Cameron Grimes, that's for sure. This fan is willing to give creative the benefit of the doubt with Lee - maybe they're just letting him find his feet and show off what he can do well in-ring first.
Dragon vs. Cedric didn't outstay any welcomes anyway. It was zippy, had some funky-looking high spots, and gave fans something pretty to watch for five minutes or so. Sometimes, there's nothing wrong with that. Not every match needs to last 15-20 minutes and have an ad break.
