Whatever you want to make of WWE’s ticket sales for SummerSlam, the simple fact is that they had well north of 30,000 fans in the stadium… and you could hear a pin drop for the six-woman tag match.

The Bellas and Paige took on Fatal Influence in a badly worked, sloppy, disjointed match that fell apart heading into the final third and then limped toward the finish. Brie Bella looked like she hurt her shoulder and toughed it out. The only thing that seemingly went entirely right was that the heel stable won the match.

Afterward, the Bellas turned on Paige, which most people saw coming a mile away. It also didn’t help Paige’s case that she got pinned after being in the match for all of 30 seconds. The comical part came afterward, when Nikki Bella cut a promo down the lens at Paige, saying, “Don’t ever take my spot.”

For the record, it literally, in storyline, was Nikki calling Paige to take her spot at WrestleMania 42 after she got injured. For this to make sense, Nikki has to be mad at herself for getting hurt and then asking Paige to replace her.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.
