4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 39 Night 2 (Review)

Ups…

4. Exactly What Was Expected

No one was expecting a five-star technical classic between Brock Lesnar and Omos. The match clearly was going to be a super-heavyweight slugfest with big men throwing bombs.

And that’s exactly what we got Sunday night at WrestleMania 39. Brock tried for a double-leg at the bell, but Omos tossed him aside like a sack of trash. From there, Omos dominated with slams, kidney shots and bearhugs, targeting Lesnar’s back and trying to wear him down.

But Brock quickly turned the corner after a missed blind charge, unleashing Suplex City on Omos with three German suplexes. He then countered a tree slam with an F-5 for the quick win.

While this seemingly was over before it got started, it more importantly didn’t overstay its welcome. They got in, delivered what was promised, popped the crowd big, and got out.
