Rampage-level stuff from the tag division yet again, and not even The Elite as trios champions can’t get get people to watch that show. Two battle royals in two weeks should speak to the tag division being loaded, dynamic and bursting with competition, but this inconsequential effort told the truth about the choice to take the Tag Team Titles off The Acclaimed in favour of The Gunns.

It was the wrong call.

The audience were incredibly hot for Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, and it had to be them because the match was basic TV fare at best. The Acclaimed are still super, super over, and pending next week’s final qualifying team could regain the gold at Revolution. But if they do, this elongated hotshot with their perennial rivals should categorically go down as a frustrating WWE-style failure rather than a noble one.

And speaking of noble failures in the tag division...
