4 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dynamite (June 4)

3. Building For The Future

Jungle Boy Christian Cage

Jungle Boy will get the AEW World Title shot his 'Casino Battle Royale' win earned him on the 26 June Dynamite. That's a Saturday night, for the record (yes, they're jumping around a fair bit with these days). AEW began the three-week build towards that by giving JB the pin in a tag effort with Christian Cage.

He looked like a star.

Some may bemoan the complete lack of Marko Stunt and Luchasaurus at ringside, but that's a positive sign for Mr. Boy. AEW want him to stand on his own merits these days, and this match opposite Private Party was very careful not to present Friday night as the 'Christian Cage Show'.

Being honest, the bell-to-bell action was secondary to the result. Jungle Boy grabbed the win by using his Snare Trap submission, then celebrated with Cage. Hopefully, he gets another few wins under his belt before wrestling Omega.
