4 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 11)

1. AN AD BREAK RING STEPS PILEDRIVER?!

QT Marshall Danhausen Piledriver AEW Ad Break

Can we please have some common sense?

QT Marshall hitting a piledriver on the ring steps during a commercial break is overkill and frankly ridiculous. That spot should only happen when it'll lead to something major, or if heels map out a coordinated attack to eliminate a hated foe. It definitely should not be going down whilst an ad for HBO runs on the same screen.

Worse, you just know Danhausen will magically recover by next week's Dynamite/Rampage. It'll be like nothing happened, thus rendering the bump totally meaningless and infuriating those who want to care about this stuff. Urgh, this was flash but no substance.

AEW's audience barely reacted anyway, so what's the point? They've been trained to know that this kind of headfirst trauma isn't any more painful or damaging than your average hip toss. Someone backstage should've cut this from the main event immediately.
