4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Crown Jewel 2024 (Results & Review)

4. An Underwhelming First-Ever Title Match

Fans shouldn’t measure the quality of a match by its length, but in Triple H’s WWE, an eight-minute title match is not something that would be considered a high-profile, serious bout under normal circumstances.

However, that’s what we got for the women’s Crown Jewel Championship match, as Liv Morgan and Nia Jax battled for the gaudy title Saturday. The match, pitting two heels against each other wasn’t particularly great, and it was only a couple minutes old when Tiffany Stratton ran down to once again stir confusion about cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase. This brought out Raquel Rodriguez, leading to more hijinks.

In the end, it was Dominik Mysterio and Raquel who provided the edge for Liv to get the win, though it came awfully easy – a boot from Rodriguez and one Oblivion – so Jax wasn’t exactly protected losing after she dominated large portions of the match.

All the intrigue about Stratton cashing in turned out to last about two minutes and not even amount to much of anything, as the match was over three minutes after she appeared.
