4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Crown Jewel 2024 (Results & Review)

3. KO Unhinged

How can you portray Kevin Owens as a truly dangerous man?

Simple: Have him not even care about wrestling matches and just have him batter people before the bell. That’s exactly what KO did at Crown Jewel, bashing Randy Orton with a steel chair while the Viper was doing his signature turnbuckle pose. He proceeded to brawl with Orton outside the ring, where Randy got control and then used the chair himself before officials broke it up… only for Randy and Kevin to drop a few of them and continue the fight.

They brawled into the crowd, where Owens knocked Orton down onto a table and then dove from the stands through Randy and the tables, ending the chaos.

This was a very simple, direct way to portray KO as a dangerous, unhinged man who cannot be controlled or stopped. Winning a 12-minute match with a rollup or a simple stunner wouldn’t have worked the same. Owens also has the promos in him to further get this version of himself over, making him a true threat for Cody Rhodes or whoever is in his crosshairs.
