4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE NXT WarGames 2021
Ups...
4. Cora Jade’s Gutsy Effort
Finally, some positives.
Despite the heftier 'Downs' count, WarGames wasn't a terrible show. The opener's psychology was all over the shop, but Kay Lee Ray looked strong, Io Shirai did her thing, Raquel Gonzalez had fun and Cora Jade managed to break out from the pack and look like a real superstar.
Her flip bump from the top of the cage through a table was downright scary. Though seeing Io pop it back into socket almost made the whole exercise look like a work (there are no reports of lasting injuries to Cora post-show either, which is great), Jade did everything to sell her pain for the rest of the night.
The guts she showed really helped to establish a never-say-die attitude. It's perhaps surprising that she got the nod to bag the winning fall for her team, but nobody should hate the thought that WWE are trying to line up multiple challengers worthy of going after Mandy Rose and her title.
