4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (July 12)

Ups...

4. Hitting The Upgrade Button

Sheamus Damian Priest Humberto Carrillo

Sheamus (and his shiny new black mask) kicked the living crap out of Humberto Carrillo backstage before defending his United States Title in a 17-second match. Pfft, at least Daniel Bryan lasted 18 seconds back at WrestleMania XXVIII.

This drew a line under the Sheamus vs. Carrillo rivalry.

That's a good thing, 'cause Humberto wasn't exactly cutting it. He's as dull as they come despite WWE's pretence that he's the second coming of Eddie Guerrero, and there was zero desire to see this feud continue in front of live crowds. The good news? WWE has replaced Carrillo with Damian Priest.

Priest is a notable upgrade on Humberto in every department. Sheamus should be able to squeeze some good matches out of Bad Bunny's mate, and eventually winning the US belt will be a nice moment for Damo on Monday nights.

Bring it on.
