4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 22)

5. Women’s Tag-Team Monotony

Everyone could see that Natalya and Shayna Baszler would be the next challengers in line for Sasha Banks and Naomi. The obvious route isn't always the worst one, but this writer fancies a right good whinge about the plight of Shayna - she's right back where she started.

Baszler was surely drafted from Raw > SmackDown so she could escape tag-team purgatory. Now, after doing the grand sum of sod all on Friday nights, she's suddenly buddying up with Nattie (because neither woman had anything else going on) and going after the Women's Tag straps yet again.

Meh.

Some of the dialogue in this face-to-face skit was seriously stilted too. Sasha's gushing friendship with Naomi is unlikeable, and the Natalya/Baszler combo has been shoved together for the sake of finding someone/anyone who can challenge.
