4 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dark (Jun 16)

4. Jimmy Havoc vs. Griff Garrison

This was the most Dark match on the show in that it was a slightly-too-long squash with unnecessary comebacks, an uninteresting heat segment, and no real rub for the victor beyond another notch in the victory column. It was rudimentary stuff - and one to skip unless you're a Jimmy Havoc superfan.

Havoc provided the bout's best moments against an opponent who looked like the next Russian Doll up from Jungle Boy, but nothing that took the clash to the next level. A supplemental Up goes to the lack of interference from Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford, though, as the trio needs to start triumphing in different ways.
